In Constellation, users are enrolled in a project and dispatched in profiles that mark for example the different teams working on the project, or the different kinds of actors taking part in it.
Each profile defines the project fragments which are visible to its members, as well as the rights they are granted, and the configuration of these fragments.
The project’s profiles organization depends on both the dividing of the model into fragments and the different activities and responsibilities of the members assigned to those fragments. It is therefore possible that a fragment intended to be used by the development team cannot be visible to the members in charge with creating the requirements model. In return, the requirements model will probably be visible to the developers, but in read-only mode.
The project administrator has the possibility to specify a standard configuration for each fragment in a profile:
